Noise exposure linked to heart attack risk

(Noise and Risk of Myocardial Infarction) study, conducted in Berlin, was a wide-scale investigation involving over 4,000 patients. The study was designed to explore the relationship between chronic noise and the risk of heart attack in men and women.

general environmental noises, such as traffic, increased the risk of heart attack by about 50 percent in men, and about 33 percent in women.
